Professional development in specialty 053 "Psychology" under the program "Clinical and Rehabilitation Psychology"

Lecturer of the Department of Psychology Eduard Abashia received a certificate of professional development.

On October 10, 2022, Eduard Avtandilovych Abashia, lecturer of the Department of Psychology at the Dnipro Institute of PJSC "IAPM", legal expert, legal counsel of the administrative department of the Dnipro branch "Special Institution for Psychiatric Care" of the State Institution "Institute of Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatric Examination and Drug Monitoring of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine", successfully completed his training, passed the final test and received a certificate of professional development in the specialty 053 "Psychology" under the program "Clinical and Rehabilitation Psychology" (30 hours, 1 ECTS credit), in the qualification category "practical psychologist" from the State Institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky". The training was conducted online outside of working hours.

Lectures and practical classes were conducted by the Head of the Department of Psychiatry, Medical and Special Psychology of the State Institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky", Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Iryna Ivanivna Savenkova.

During the training, the following topics were covered:

  • Neuropsychological disorders;
  • Pathopsychology and psychopathology, basics of psychiatry;
  • Psychosomatics;
  • Psychological support for individuals with special needs;
  • Projective techniques in clinical psychology;
  • Psychological examination, procedure for conducting;
  • Oncopsychology and psychological support

The classes were held in an atmosphere of professionalism and mentorship, - Eduard Abashia noted.
