Disciplines of free choice
Academic disciplines of the student's choice are disciplines that are introduced by a higher educational institution to better meet the educational and qualification requirements of a person for the needs of society, effectively use the capabilities of an educational institution, and take into account regional characteristics. Selective disciplines provide an opportunity for in-depth training in specialties and specializations that determine the nature of future activities; contribute to the academic mobility of students and their interests, allow the implementation of specializations within the framework of the basic specialty in order to form the applicant's competence in accordance with the requirements of the labor market.
Disciplines of the student's free choice are presented in the curriculum of the corresponding specialty by a list of disciplines, including both disciplines of the corresponding graduating department and disciplines of other departments. The number and scope of the student's free choice disciplines for a particular semester is indicated in the curriculum.
The student has the right to choose disciplines from the proposed list, or any other disciplines from the curriculum of another specialty that correspond to the required amount of credits and are set out in the corresponding - autumn or spring - semester.
