Disciplines of free choice of the student

Student-chosen disciplines are disciplines introduced by a higher education institution to better meet the educational and qualification requirements of a person for the needs of society, more effective use of the educational institution, taking into account regional specifics. Elective courses provide the opportunity for in-depth training in specialties and specializations that determine the nature of future activities; promote the academic mobility of the student and his personal interests, allow the implementation of specializations within the basic specialty in order to form the competence of the applicant in accordance with the requirements of the labor market.

Disciplines of free choice of the student are presented in the curriculum of the corresponding specialty by the list of disciplines which includes both disciplines of the corresponding final department, and disciplines of other departments. The number and scope of free student choice disciplines for a particular semester are specified in the curriculum.

The student has the right to choose academic disciplines from the proposed list, or any other disciplines from the curriculum of another specialty, which correspond to the required amount of credits and are taught in the appropriate - autumn or spring - semester.
